Cesky Krumlov Castle

The Cesky Krumlov Castle is one of the largest castles in the world. Its gardens are over 10 hectares long and host several festivals throughout the year. The 14th century castle tower is visible from almost everywhere in the city and offers an excellent view of the surrounding countryside to those who climb the several steps to the top.

Church of St. Vitus

Located right next to the Cesky Krumlov Castle and overlooking most of the city, this 14th century Gothic church is still preserved in its original state. The Church of St. Vitus houses a 17th century altar, as well as several frescoes and original paintings.

Latran

Situated in the Old Town, Latran is spectacularly preserved and it will make you feel like you have travelled back in time. These medieval cobblestone streets house numerous restaurants and eventually lead to the Cesky Krumlov Castle.

Budweiser Gate

A long time ago, Cesky Krumlov had 9 gates in its fortifications. These days, however, the Budweiser Gate is the only gate still standing. Intimidatingly looking from the outside, the Budweiser Gate features Renaissance decorations on its inside walls and it is a must-visit for those with an interest in architecture.

Main Square

After sightseeing and walking all around Cesky Krumlov, the Main Square offers numerous cafes to relax in. There is a 19th century fountain in the middle of the square, built to replace an even older fountain, that will look great in your photos of Cesky Kurmlov.
