Tour 68 - Sightseeing transfer from Berlin to Prague with a 3-hour stop in Dresden and a 2-hour stop in Bastei

This sightseeing transfer will allow you to see more of Germany on your trip from Berlin to Prague by stopping in Dresden and in Bastei.

In Dresden you will be able to see plenty of historical buildings and some of the must-see landmarks. Although a 3-hour stop is not nearly enough to see the entire city, it is possible to see a few points of interest by carefully planning your itinerary. Alternatively, if you do not want to explore Dresden on your own, it is possible for us to arrange for a private tour with an English-speaking guide. This tour has a minimum duration of 2 hours and will cost you an extra fee.

Some of the must-see landmarks are the Church of Our Lady (or the Frauenkirche) and the Zwinger Palace. You can easily see both of these locations within the allotted time.

If you feel like your 3-hour stop is not enough in Dresden, it is possible for us to extend your stay in the city. This service incurs an additional fee.

Located in the Saxon Switzerland National Park area, Bastei is famous due to its bridge, the Bastei Bridge. This bridge overlooks the National Park, the surrounding mountains, the Koenigstein Fortress and the Elbe river. The Bastei Bridge is 76,5 meters long and connects the awe-inspiring rock formations that make Bastei a must-see place in Europe. The bridge is so famous that hundreds of tourists on daytrips from Prague and Dresden visit it every day.

When visiting Bastei you can also stop by the ruins of the Felsenburg Castle, situated right in front of the bridge. Although the bridge has no admission fee, touring the ruins will cost you a small fee. After you have done exploring Bastei, you can relax and grab a bite at the Bastei Hotel. This hotel has an amazing view of the Elbe river and is the perfect place to wind down and breathe-in the fresh air.

Passengers are free to explore both Dresden and Bastei on their own within the allotted time. During the stops, your bags will be safely secured in the car and the driver will look after them.

What to visit in Dresden

Frauenkirche

The Church of Our Lady was completed in 1743, however it was completely destroyed during World War II. In 1994 the rebuilding process started, using most of the original material, and it was completed for the second time in 2005. If you are visiting Dresden you need to see this church to understand how magnificent it is.

Zwinger Palace

The Zwinger Palace is a hallmark of Baroque architecture. It hosts many museums and art galleries inside. You can take a stroll through the palace's grounds or you can get lost in one of its many wonderful galleries.

Dresden Castle

The Dresden Castle (or the Royal Palace) houses several important historical artifacts. It also houses the Dresden Armory, the Turkish Chamber and the Green Vault, where the most precious royal treasures are stored.
