Tour 59 - Shopping in Parndorf Designer's Outlet on the way from Prague to Budapest
If you want to do some shopping on your European trip, doing it on your way from Prague to Budapest is a great way to do it. The Parndorf Designer's Outlet Mall is one of the great shopping locations in Austria and one you must go to if you are interested in saving money when buying designer clothes. The McArthurGlen Parndorf Designer's Outlet features over 130 designer stores with price reductions of 30 to 70%. Besides the reductions based on the retail price of the items, there are also constant further reductions which will allow you to buy designer clothes at a much lower price than normal. The most famous designer stores are present at the Parndorf Designer's Outlet Mall. In this outlet you will find brands such as Armani, Adidas, Gucci, Fossil, Furla, Michael Kors, Nike and many more.
After you are done with your shopping, or if you want to take a break during your shopping spree, the Parndorf Designer's Outlet Mall has 12 restaurants and coffee shops where you can relax and grab something to eat. Besides other lesser-known restaurants, there is a Burger King and a Starbucks at the mall.
If you are visiting from outside of the European Union and spend at least EUR 75.01, then you are eligible for a tax refund. To get your tax refund you just need to have your passport with you and a credit card. Then you request the tax-free form at the store where you are buying your items or at the Global Blue Service Desk, fill it and immediately get your cash back. Alternatively, you can present your items and the tax-free form at the customs officer at the airport when leaving the country. He will then stamp your form and you can mail it back to Global Blue, or go to one of their Service Centers, to get your money back.
To use this feature your credit card needs to be at the very least valid for another 6 months. You also have to exit the European Union within a period of 3 months after the form has been filled and have a stamped form. Unless you use the instant tax refund at the Parndorf Global Blue Service Center, the refunds will be sent to your credit card within a period of 21 days.Passengers are free to wander through the Parndorf Designer's Outlet Mall on their own during the allotted time. If you feel like 4 hours are not enough for you to shop to your heart's content, then it is possible to request a time extension. This service incurs an additional fee.
While you are shopping, your bags will be safely kept in the car and the driver will look after them. After the allotted time has passed, the driver will meet you and the mall's entrance and you will be on your way to Budapest.
